In a long anticipated move, President Calderón replaced Rodolfo Elizondo as Secretary of Tourism. Elizondo has been Secretary since 2003, serving under Vicente Fox as well. He will now be the coordinator for the U.N. climate change conference that will take place in Cancún this December. The new Secretary is Gloria Guevara, 43, who was the CEO of the SABRE Travel Network Mexico, the Mexican subsidiary of the SABRE air travel reservation system. As pointed out by the President, she has been twice named by CNN Expansión as one of the most influential women in Mexico. This is the 12th change in cabinet members in the Calderón government.
